David Burgest was born in Savannah, Ga. When he was a young teenager, his mother invested in his musical journey by purchasing a piano keyboard.  He learned to play the piano and went on to take piano lessons.  His musical journey has transformed his life and opened up many doors, allowing him to play music in Church and many other areas.  He wanted to give other students the opportunity to let music open doors and grant access to a brighter future.  As a result, David and his wife Marcia founded Joyful Sounds Productions.
